22 May is International Biodiversity Day

Your business ecosystem is complicated, with much of it directly dependent on natural resources. Climate change and nature-loss are affecting businesses across the globe with devastating long-term consequences for the planet, our pockets, and the resilience of our businesses.

But there is another road we can take to ensure that our businesses, and the resources they rely on, are protected. The recently adopted Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework has targets directly related to businesses.

Target 15, in particular, requires large companies and financial institutions to provide nature-related disclosures.

You can be part of the conversation in helping shape how South Africa meets these targets.

The theme for this year’s celebration isFrom Agreement to Action: Building Back Biodiversity”

and the Endangered Wildlife Trust, in partnership with DFFE and SANBI are hosting an event focusing on how business is a key part of this theme.

Join us as we discuss new global biodiversity policies and frameworks in an African business context.

Hear from leaders in business, finance and policy.

This event is a proud collaboration with Business for Nature and was made possible through the funding of the Global Environment Facility working with Conservation International as the implementing agency

More than carbon, biodiversity is complex, as is your business relationship with biodiversity.
